Religious Education at Our Lady of the Assumption School

At Our Lady of the Assumption School, faith is at the heart of everything we do. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where every child can grow in their understanding of the teachings of Jesus and experience the richness of Catholic tradition in a way that is meaningful and relevant to their lives.

Our teachers work in partnership with families to nurture each child’s spiritual development. Through reflection, dialogue, and real-life connections, students are encouraged to explore their own experiences and discover how the light of the Gospel can guide their choices and actions every day.

We celebrate the significant moments of the Church’s liturgical year with joy and reverence, fostering a sense of belonging and community. These celebrations are opportunities for students, families, and staff to come together in faith and share in the traditions that unite us.

Religious Education at Our Lady of the Assumption is more than a subject—it is a way of living. Our pastoral approach ensures that care, compassion, and respect are woven into the fabric of school life. This commitment is strengthened through the support of our parish, St John the Baptist Parish, who walk alongside our community in faith and guide students through the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation.

Together, we aim to inspire students to live with purpose, kindness, and hope, grounded in the values of the Gospel and empowered to make a positive difference in the world.
