Reporting to Parents

In the interests of promoting a supportive learning environment for students the staff undertakes to report upon student progress in the following ways:

Formal and Compulsory Reporting

•  At the beginning of the school year, the Administration Team will outline general directions for the school year. On this evening the teachers will give an overview of curricula and the expectations of and for students.

•  Mid year a face to face 3 way conference will be held to discuss the individual student's progress. The class teachers will be provided with non-contact time to give their full attention to this important report. A Student Portfolio will be provided at this time.

•  At the end of Term 4 each student will receive their completed Student Portfolio. Opportunity will be available for parents/caregivers to discuss their child's Student Portfolio.

•  Mid year and end of year, each student will receive a report in accordance with Brisbane Catholic Education and the Federal Government reporting requirements.

  Informal Reporting

•  Parents may request an appointment to discuss their child's progress at any time during the school year.

•  Teachers will contact the parents to arrange an appointment to discuss children's progress on a needs basis.

•  The Principal or Assistant Principal may contact the parents to discuss a student's progress.
